Just a few sweet birthday reflections from last week...
My community takes such thoughtful care in celebrating one another...it's one of the things i find most beautiful here, in a place that's so easy to forget there's much worth celebrating...

Fellow WMF staff member Upendra sent me this amazing text...such a kind, thoughtful, hard working man, up there with my best birthday greetings in 29 years...

"Good morning Beth. Congrats on your birthday. I wish you on your birthday you receive lots of love and God gives you more love strength, power, ideas. All types of help this year. Everywhere and always we are with you because we love you very much. You stand in front of mirror, you see your face, you're a beautiful friend, sister, daughter in the world. Today you look pretty. God bless you."

Sarah, Kyle, and Melissa slaved over the stove, making an amazing meal of taquitos/chips/salsa/beans and sangria...so so good!

There was dancing in the kitchen, dear friends to share a meal with, thoughtful and generous gifts, and toasts at midnight...lots to look forward to in the year ahead. Thankful for moments to reflect on the year behind and ahead. May God have mercy as i continue on here, one foot in front of the other, one step at a time.
