You Look Like A Disheveled Crow

Housemate Melissa taught us a new phrase this week...
A true treasure nestled within the Bengali language...literally translated, "you have the appearance of a crow after a storm". A remarkably accurate description for how one feels so often in this city... i'm not sure how i feel about being compared to a disheveled crow, but it does make me laugh, and sadly after looking in the mirror at the end of the day, i can see the resemblance...

In other news, I planted my herb garden this week. Basil, Spearmint, Thyme. I have high hopes, let's see what a little tender love and care can do in the next few months...

I woke up this morning and made three gallons of sangria for a little birthday fiesta we're having tonight. 29 years old tomorrow...only one more year till the metabolism goes, better just live it up while i can...

It's muggy and hot today, I keep thinking it's about time for Kolkata to cool down, but obviously my opinion and complaining hold little sway in the weather schemes of this city. But just for the record i don't love sweating through my clothes.

Also, if you have a chance check out Walter's blog from WMF Argentina, you won't be disappointed.

Now i'm going to go make a dent in my reading (finally getting around to cracking open Life of Pi by Yann Martel), have another mug of Christmas blend coffee, and snack on the cookies i made yesterday... Yeah, i really like Saturdays.
